Android starting to get noticed!

http://www.blogcdn.com/www.engadgetmobile.com/media/2009/04/android-cupcake-ofc-logo.jpgEven Admob is starting to realize that Android is taking off.  In a very short period of time it has eclipsed Palm according to their own (flawed) figures.  Check out Erick’s article in TechCrunch.  Take the numbers with a grain of salt because Erick’s estimate of 1 million G1s sold is way off.  For example, the UK surpassed 1 million handsets a month ago.  The US and EU numbers are far greater.  I have noticed that most folks in the Bay Area simply have never seen a G1 and as a result they can’t believe the numbers they are hearing.  Think of the G1 as the Walmart phone – if you shop at Walmart you have seen one, if you don’t you probably have not.  Once cupcake is released, watch out…
