Darren Murph explained in a post that 1,500,000 T-Mobile G1s have been pre-ordered in a post with that title.  Of course we hope he is right, but at last report T-Mobile had sold 60,000 G1s via pre-order.  According to reports from the Wall Street Journal, HTC (the company that makes the G1) expected to ship 600,000 to 700,000 units this year - half of what Engadget is reporting have already pre-sold.  Someone call the Fed, the depression is over!
